Consisting of a total of 193 issues, Kirkman seemingly stepped away from the original series but that won't be the end of comics set in the universe. The Walking Dead comic book, which launched the franchise in 2003, came to an end in July 2019. That said, there's still some hope that Clem could have a future in the comics based on a recent tease by Kirkman. Kirkman, however, has indicated that Clem will never be introduced on the TV show, keeping the character's presence a " unique experience" outside of the live-action title. The mediums have crossed over in the past with in-game appearances by characters like Hershel, Glenn, Michonne, Siddiq, and Jesus. Based on her status in the Walking Dead universe, there has been a resurgence of interest in seeing her in the live-action TV series or any live-action spinoffs. Clem then became the leader of a group of survivors. Instead, he amputated his leg to save her from the infection. She urged AJ to kill her in an effort to allow him to escape a horde of walkers. Toward the end of the final video game installment, Clem, now 16-years-old, was bitten in the leg by a walker. She then met Lee Everett, a man who vowed to protect Clem and reunite her with her parents. According to the first episodic video game installment, Clem took refuge in the treehouse at her suburban Georgia town shortly after the apocalypse. Clementine, often referred to as "Clem," made her Walking Dead debut in 2012 when the character was 8-years-old.
